PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- It's Columbus Day on Monday, and that means one thing: beware if you've got errands planned that day in Prince George's County.
On holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even Labor Day you can be certain pretty much everything is going to be closed. But Columbus Day is a bit of a borderline holiday -- technically it's a federal holiday, but many employers don't treat it as one.

Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site: Closed
Materials Recyling Facility: Closed
Yard Waste Composting Facility: Closed
Call-A-Bus: No service.
Trash collection: Yard trim will happen on Monday, but no bulky trash pickups.
