UPDATED: PG County Expands Grab-and-Go Bag Program
PG County is expanding the number of locations students can pickup free meals while schools are closed due to the coronavirus.
Update (March 19, 3:30 p.m.): Prince George's County Public Schools expanded its school meals assistance program to 36 schools the updated list is below.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY: Prince George's County Public Schools is expanding its school meals assistance program as part of its response to the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
Even though all PGCPS schools were closed on Monday in compliance with Gov. Larry Hogan's March 12 order to close all Maryland public schools for two weeks, PGCPS was offering grab-and-go sack lunches for students at nine locations across the county.

Monica Goldson, PGCPS chief executive officer, announced Monday the sack lunch program was expanding to 25 locations. This will include a grab-and-go bag with breakfast, lunch and a snack.

"This will allow us to reach more communities that serve some of our most vulnerable families," Goldson said, in a release. "Starting Tuesday, March 17, any student, with or without a parent/guardian, may go to any one of these sites to pick up both meals and a snack between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Adults may not pick up meals for children. There will be school system staff in the cafeteria or parking lot, depending on weather, to distribute the meals."
