County's Pet Adoptathon Runs Through End of June

Prince George's County's animal shelter has cut the adoption fee in half -- or more -- through the end of June.

Help an animal find its forever home and save money in the process this month during the county’s Adoptathon.

The Prince George’s County Department of the Environment’s Animal Management Division is participating in the 21st annual Pet Adoptathon by reducing dog and cat adoption fees throughout June.

AMD’s Pet Adoptathon 2015 began June 6 and runs through June 30. During this special event, adoption fees for dogs and puppies are only $125 (normally $225). Cat and kitten adoptions are $70, and a second cat/kitten adopted at the same time is only $25. AMD joins more than 2,500 animal shelters and rescue groups in helping shelter animals find their “forever homes.”
