Craft Brewer Opens Production Facility, Tap Room

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Calvert Brewing Company opened the first production brewery in Prince George’s County last month, reports say.

The brewing facility is located at 15850 Commerce Court in Upper Marlboro.

Its tap room is open to customers from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Fridays, and from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays.

Calvert Brewing is the county’s first production brewing venue, the Washington Business Journal reports. Other brewpubs in the area include Franklin’s in Hyattsville, DuClaw in Bowie and Granite City in National Harbor, but this appears to be the county’s first production brewing facility.

The Upper Marlboro brewery will host a grand opening Feb. 27.

Calvert Brewing has a small production facility on its farm in Prince Frederick.
