Crews Battle Four Fires In Five Hours Across Prince George's County
Firefighters fought four fires in five hours' time across Prince George's County Friday. No injuries were reported.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Firefighters spent five hours straight battling four separate fires Friday.
At 2:33 p.m., Prince George’s County Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the 12600 block of Laurel Bowie Road in Laurel for a report of a building fire. Crews found smoke coming from the building’s laundromat and found the fire contained to a dryer. The fire was extinguished without injuries and it didn't spread beyond the dryer unit.
More than an hour later at 3:50 p.m., PGFD units were called to the 5600 block of Annapolis Road in Bladensburg for a vehicle fire. Crews found a vehicle on fire with extension to the awning and roof of a nearby laundromat. The fire was extinguished without injuries. Fire investigators determined the fire to be accidental.

A little more than half an hour later at 4:26 p.m., Prince George's firefighters were dispatched to the 900 block of Montrose Avenue in Laurel for a house fire. Crews arrived on the scene to find smoke and flames shooting through the roof. The fire was extinguished without injuries. Fire investigators determined the fire started in a solar panel and had spread into the attic of the home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Then more than two hours later at 6:30 p.m., units were called to the 1300 block of Kings Heather Drive in Woodmore for a house fire. A resident reported hearing smoke alarms sounding, found a fire in the garage, fled the home and called 9-1-1. Crews arrived on scene and extinguished the fire without injuries. That investigation is ongoing.
