Crime Solvers Increases Maximum Reward
The reward for critical information on crimes including burglaries and robberies has increased to $2,500, Prince George's County Police say.

For the first time in its more than 35-year history, the Prince George’s County Crime Solvers organization has raised its maximum reward payout to $2,500, police said.
Previously, the maximum reward offered was $1,000.
The new higher reward amount will be offered for tips on several crimes including robberies, burglaries and thefts, according to a release shared on the Prince George’s County Police Facebook page.

The reward amount for an unsolved homicide, rape and specific violent crime cases remains up to $25,000.
Prince George’s County Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization that relies on private donations and fundraising to complete its mission. Crime Solvers provides cash rewards to anonymous tipsters who provide critical information on crimes committed in the community.

The new reward amount took effect on Jan. 1, 2016.
