Dallas Black Dance Theatre Returns To Prince George's County To Lead Master Classes

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Dallas Black Dance Theatre will return to Publick Playhouse in Hyattsville. For more than 40 years, the dance company has presented engaging performances that combines classical and contemporary modern works by Alvin Ailey, Elisa Monte, Milton Myers, Asadata Dafora, Dianne McIntyre, Matthew Rushing, Christopher L. Huggins, Ben Stephenson, Twyla Tharp and others.

Scheduled events at Publick Playhouse from April 27 – May 1 include:

Master Classes

April 27, 8:15-9:15 pm: African Dance for Teens and Adults; ages 15 and up

April 28, 6-7:30 pm: Liturgical Dance for Youth; ages 8 -14

April 28, 7:45-9:15 pm: Liturgical Dance for Teens and Adults; ages 15 and up

Cost: $20/student; $10/observer
