Deputies Involved in Fatal Shooting in Landover: Reports

Two deputies were pursuing a domestic violence suspect Sunday night, according to media reports.

Two Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies fatally shot a suspect Sunday night in a elementary school parking lot, according to media reports, including ABC7.

The man was allegedly armed with knives when killed in his vehicle in the parking lot of Cora L. Rice Elementary School, according to ABC7’s Brad Bell.

The deputies were reportedly chasing the vehicle after responding to a domestic violence attack around 10 p.m., according to NBC Washington. The suspect had reportedly used his truck to ram the patrol car.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene in the 900 block of Nalley Road. The deputies involved in the shooting are five- and six-year veterans.
