Dirt Bike Driver, 18, Dies From Injuries After Being Hit By SUV In Prince George's County

An 18-year-old dirt bike driver has died from his injuries after he was hit by an SUV in an unincorporated area of Prince George's County.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An 18-year-old driving a dirt bike was hit and killed by an SUV Friday night. Shortly before 6:30 p.m., Prince George's County police officers were called to the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Silver Hill Road in District Heights.

According to the police department, Peter Joven was driving the dirt bike westbound on Silver Hill Road while the driver of the SUV was heading southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue when they collided in the intersection as Joven tried to cross Pennsylvania Avenue. The 18-year-old was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, police reported. Joven died the next day.
