Dramatic Video Shows Hero PG County Cop Falling Through Ice
The officer was trying to help three people who had fallen through the ice.

RIVERDALE, MD -- A Prince George's County police officer was hospitalized for hypothermia after he fell through the ice while trying to help three people who had done the same over the weekend.
Two police officers responded to Glenridge Park in Riverdale at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday to a call for three people drowning after falling through the ice, police tweeted along with a video that is embedded at the bottom of this article.
"Both officers went onto the ice to help victims in the freezing water," police said. "1 officer fell through the ice."

Fortunately, the officer was able to pull himself and one of the three victims out of the water to safety, and the fire department was able to rescue the remaining two people. Two victims and the officer were taken to the hospital for treatment related to hypothermia.
Officer Tully has since been released from the hospital, and the victims appear likely to recover as well. Officer Robinson was the other officer who went on the ice to help the victims.
