Driver Killed After Crashing Into Guardrail

A 28-year-old Waldorf man has died after police say his vehicle hit the back of another vehicle then crashed into a guardrail.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday night in Temple Hills.

On March 27 around 9:10 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 4300 block of Branch Avenue for a collision involving two vehicles. Christopher Umanzor, 28, of Waldorf died of his injuries at the scene. The second involved driver and his passenger were uninjured, police reported.

The preliminary investigation revealed, for reasons now being investigation, that Umanzor’s vehicle hit the back of the second involved car, causing both vehicles to veer off the road. Umanzor’s vehicle hit a guardrail.
