E-Bike Driver Killed In Hit-And-Run, Detectives Search For Suspect
Prince George's detectives are searching for the driver of an SUV who they say fatally hit an e-bike driver late Monday night.
TEMPLE HILLS, MD β Detectives are searching for the driver who fatally hit an e-bike rider late Monday night.
Around 11:40 p.m. Monday, Prince George's police officers were called to the area of St. Barnabas Road and Stamp Road for a report of a crash involving an e-bike and an SUV. Officers found 20-year-old Manuel Mateo-Molina of Temple Hills in the road. He died of his injuries Tuesday, police stated.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Mateo-Molina and the driver of the SUV were traveling in the eastbound lanes on St. Barnabas Road. Detectives say that it appears the SUV hit Mateo-Molina from behind. The driver of the SUV fled from the scene.

The involved SUV may be dark blue in color and have some front-end damage, detectives notes.
Investigators ask that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dash camera or home surveillance footage that captured the incident contact the Prince Georgeβs County Police Department.
