PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An early morning house fire broke out Wednesday around 6:15 a.m. in the 13900 block of Chadsworth Terrace in Laurel. Firefighters found a two-story single family home engulfed in flames when they arrived. The Prince George's Fire Department sounded a second alarm for additional firefighters to help protect nearby homes. Three surrounding homes suffered minor damage from radiant heat. The residents were able to safely evacuate and no injuries were reported. The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, Anne Arundel County Fire Department and Montgomery County Maryland – Fire &amp; Rescue Service all assisted.

A few years ago, I began a journey to create a nonprofit dedicated to supporting cancer patients here in Prince George&rsquo;s County. It&rsquo;s been a long and meaningful road, and I&rsquo;m excited to share that we are getting very close to launching our services.
As many know, the cancer journey requires far more than medical treatment. True healing and thriving also depend on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual support. Our mission is to provide wellness services that help individuals navigate life during and after a cancer diagnosis.
We&rsquo;re currently looking for support from our community:
&#10024; Pro bono instructors 
We are seeking a few additional volunteers to lead yoga and meditation
sessions. If you&mdash;or someone you know&mdash;might be interested, we would love to connect.
&#10024; Board Members 
We are also expanding our Board of Directors and seeking passionate individuals who want to make a meaningful impact. Current needs include: 
&bull; A Treasurer with a nonprofit accounting background 
&bull; Board members with experience in social media, fundraising, donor relations, sponsorships, or grants
