Early Voting Underway For Prince George's County Executive, County Council District 5 Seat

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Early voting started Wednesday for the special election in Prince George's County to fill the county executive and County Council District 5 vacant seats.

In the race, Democrat Aisha Braveboy faces Republican Jonathan White to fulfill the remaining two years of Angela Alsobrooks’ term as county executive. Alsobrooks won a U.S. Senate seat last year, becoming the first Black senator to be elected from Maryland. In County Council District 5, Democrat Shayla D. Adams-Stafford is vying for the seat along with Republican Fred Price Jr.

Early voting will run from May 28 through June 2, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Election Day voting will take place June 3 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
