Earth, Wind & Fire Coming to MGM National Harbor in February

The legendary group is one of the top-selling bands of all time, and had a number of hits through the 1970s and 1980s.

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — Legendary band Earth, Wind & Fire is the latest addition to the new MGM National Harbor's star-studded lineup over the next few months.

The band, known for its many hits in the 1970s and early 1980s, is scheduled to perform Feb. 18, 2017 at the Theater at MGM National Harbor, with tickets going on sale Friday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m., according to a statement from MGM National Harbor.

It's the latest big "get" for the brand new casino, which opens Dec. 8. Other confirmed acts over the next few months include Bruno Mars, Lionel Richie and Cher.

Tickets to see Earth, Wind & Fire will start at $95. Members of the Earth, Wind & Fire Fan Club will have early access to tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Nov. 15.

"With a groove as deep as the soul of the planet, Earth, Wind & Fire's legendary journey began in 1969 and since has set the standard for music of all genres and has left an indelible mark within popular culture," the statement reads. "The band's legendary journey has produced 23 albums, with eight No. 1 R&B singles, eight Double Platinum Top 10 Pop Albums and sold more than 90 million albums worldwide.

"Earth, Wind & Fire's career achievements and influences have impacted music history forever. In 2000, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and The National Academy of Recording Arts & Science (NARAS) bestowed its highest honor and presenting the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award to the band in 2016."
