Prince George's Board Of Education Seeks Ethics Advisory Panel Members To Serve

The Prince George's County Board of Education seeks members to serve on its ethics advisory panel for a three-year term.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George’s County Board of Education seeks residents to serve on its five-member ethics advisory panel. Panel members are appointed by the board chair with board approval to a three-year term. The panel serves as an advisory body responsible for interpreting the ethics policy, including issuing advisory opinions to the board concerning its application and addressing complaints filed regarding alleged violations.

Panel members may not be incumbent members of the board of education or employees of Prince George’s County Public Schools, elected officials, candidates for elective office or employed by businesses working with PGCPS.

Individuals interested in serving on the panel must submit a letter of interest along with a resumé or other documentation to support the application no later than 5 p.m. May 17 to Annice Ellis, Board Administrative Director, Prince George’s County Board of Education, 14201 School Lane, Room 121, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, or by e-mail to annice.ellis@pgcps.org (mail to: annice.ellis@pgcps.org). The board will issue panel appointment notifications in June.
