Imagine a Fool’s Journey
A Journaling Workshop - $25
As we travel on our journey of a thousand miles, we encounter cosmic stereotypes that give us a framework for understanding our world: the protective father, the nurturing mother, the spinning Wheel of Fortune, the Magician, the Grim Reaper, Lovers, and of course the Fool that sets out on the journey to begin with. These archetypal human images, used in classic legends and mythology, are depicted in the imagery of the Major Arcana, the ancient portion of tarot decks, forming a symbolic language for understanding our lives. Swiss psychoanalyst, Carl Jung, taught that these archetypes form a primal pattern of thought innate to all humans, imprinted on our subconscious minds.
Join us as we explore our subconscious thoughts by comparing the imagery of several interpretations of the Major Arcana and compare them to the experiences of our lives. The workshop will include some portions of journaling, if you would like to bring your own journal. You are also welcome to bring your own tarot deck, although decks will be available to share.
