Ex-Boyfriend Admits Killing Landover Woman: Police
An Oxon Hill man is in jail on murder charges in the fatal stabbing of one woman and an assault against a second woman.

LANDOVER, MD — The ex-boyfriend of a Landover woman is in jail on murder charges after he reportedly admitted to police that he stabbed her early Monday, authorities say.
Prince George’s County Police say two women were stabbed just before 3 a.m. Monday in the 3100 block of 75th Avenue in Landover. Santa Lizama, 23, of 75th Avenue in Landover was pronounced dead from her injuries at the scene.
On Monday night, police arrested Daniel Leonard Weste, 23, of the 2200 block of Alice Avenue in Oxon Hill. Weste and Lizama were involved in a romantic relationship.

Weste has reportedly admitted his involvement in Lizama’s death, police say, and has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, attempted first- and second-degree murder and other related charges.
Weste has been remanded to the Department of Corrections, where he remains on a no-bond status.

Officers found Lizama in her apartment suffering from stab wounds, while a second woman suffered injuries that appear to be non-life threatening.
Investigators say Weste stabbed both women and then ran from the apartment.
The identity of the injured woman has not been released.
