Fatal Shooting In Greenbelt, Victim Found In Stairwell: Police

Police are offering a reward for information leading to his killer.

GREENBELT, MD -- A man was found shot to death in the stairwell of an apartment building in Greenbelt Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the 7000 block of Hanover Parkway at around 2:15 a.m. to a report of a shooting, and found 26-year-old Lamont Woods of Greenbelt suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

He was taken to the hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police don't think this was a random shooting, and are offering up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and indictment.
