FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Police on May 3 accused a Fort Washington man of murdering his two-month-old son. Officers identified the victim as Rodriquez Holeman Jr. Authorities wrote that the suspect is 31-year-old Rodriquez Holeman of the 8000 block of Murray Hill Road.

An incident report mentioned that police came to the home on April 23 after hearing word of an unresponsive child. Medics took the victim to the hospital where he died soon after, the write-up added.

Investigators noted they asked for an autopsy from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia. The examiner ruled that the child's death was a homicide, the press release advised. The "cause of death was inflicted head trauma with blunt force injury to the torso," officials continued.
