44-Year-Old Father Fatally Stabs 22-Year-Old Son At Suitland Home: Prince George's Police

A 44-year-old dad from Washington, D.C., fatally stabbed his 22-year-old son at a Suitland home, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 44-year-old Washington, D.C., man has been charged in connection to the fatal stabbing of his 22-year-old son.

On June 10 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Prince George's County police officers responded to a call about a stabbing that happened at a home in the 4400 block of West Summer Road in Suitland. Officers found Melodias Scindian of Suitland near the front door with stab wounds. He died a short time later at a hospital, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

A preliminary investigation showed Marcus Braxton, Sr., stabbed his son during a dispute then took off. Around four hours later, Braxton was taken into custody by the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Braxton has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
