Honor A Veteran, Military Member, Loved One With A Flag At Prince George's Field Of Honor
Dedicate a flag to honor a veteran, military member or loved one at the Field of Honor in Prince George's County May 27-June 5.
BOWIE, MD — Anyone interested in honoring those who served with a flag placed in Bowie's Field of Honor between May 27 and June 5 at Sussex Lane Park must place an order for a flag by May 20.
Field of Honor will feature a display of more than 100 U.S. flags flying in formation to honor those who serve or in memory of those who have served in the past. The flags are dedicated to veterans, active military personnel, professionals that have helped during the pandemic and loved ones lost. Each flag will be accompanied by a dedication card.
The opening ceremony will take place at Sussex Lane Park at 7 p.m. May 27. Sussex Lane Park is the open area between Sussex Lane and Annapolis Road located across from Bowie High School. Proceeds from this project will go to the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry
