Fire Destroys Family's Townhouse, GoFundMe Set Up To Help With Recovery
A fire destroyed a family's townhouse early Friday morning. A friend of the family has created a GoFundMe to help.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A GoFundMe has been set up to help a family whose townhome caught on fire early Friday morning.
The fire broke out in the basement of a three-story townhome located in the 4500 block of Col Gardiner Way around 2:54 a.m. The Prince George's County Fire and Rescue Services reported three adults were displaced.
The townhome belonged to Yolland Walker and family, according to a person named Diandrea, who set up a GoFundMe to help them after the fire consumed all of their belongings.

"They escaped with their lives but little else. Clothing, furniture, personal keepsakes and the sense of safety that comes with having a home were all lost. Right now, they are facing the overwhelming task of starting over, completely from scratch," Diandrea wrote. "This GoFundMe is being created to help cover immediate needs such as clothing, food, and other basic necessities, as well as the longer road to rebuilding their life. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burden during this incredibly difficult time."
For those who can't donate, Diandrea asked that sharing the page with others would be appreciated.
