Firefighter Injured In Ft. Washington Garage Fire: Prince George's Fire Deptartment
A firefighter sustained minor injuries while helping battle a garage fire that spread to the home located in Fort Washington.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A fire broke out in the garage of a Fort Washington home Sunday, causing some damage to the home as well. A firefighter suffered a minor injury while battle the blaze.
According to the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department, a smoke alarm alerted the home's residents about the fire. Five adults have been displaced.
This past weekend, county firefighters and paramedics spent their Saturday visiting residents in their homes to make sure they have working smoke alarms and home escape plans. They popped by more than 160 homes. Anyone in need of a free smoke alarm installation can call the PGFD at (301)-583-2200.
