The College Park Aviation Museum tells the story of the nation’s oldest, continually operating airport, including numerous aviation “firsts,” such as Wilbur Wright teaching the first military aviators how to fly. Numerous aircraft on display, flight simulators, interactive exhibits, an observation deck overlooking the airport and a gift shop offer something for everyone to enjoy.
The museum is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is about a 10-minute walk from the College Park Metro and easily accessible from the Beltway (I-495). For more information, call 301-864-6029 or visit www.collegeparkaviationmuseum.org.
