Former Applebee's Could Be Replaced With Dash In Food Store In Prince George's

Plans have been filed with officials for a Dash In Food Store to replace Applebee's. A virtual hearing open to the public will be Wednesday.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Dash In Food Stores, Inc. has filed an application with the city of Bowie for a site plan approval for a 4,500-square-foot convenience store, gas station and car wash to replace the existing 5,641-square-foot Applebee’s restaurant, located at the northwest corner of US 301/Heritage Boulevard.

According to the company's website, the first Dash In was opened in 1979 in Annapolis. To date, there are more than 50 Dash In locations across Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.

Bowie city officials have scheduled the following virtual meeting/public hearings to review the application:
• virtual stakeholders meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m.
• Bowie advisory planning board public hearing July 26 at 7 p.m. (Room 243, Bowie City Hall)
• City Council public hearing Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. (Council Chambers, Bowie City Hall)
