Former Bowie Swim Club Treasurer Must Pay Back $196,000: Report
The woman pleaded guilty to stealing from the swim club.

BOWIE, MD -- The former treasurer of Bowie's Belair Bath and Tennis Club must pay $196,000 in restitution and will be on supervised probation for five years after she pleaded guilty to stealing from the swim club, according to a report.
The Bowie Blade-News reports that a Prince George's County circuit court judge handed down the sentence on Monday for 47-year-old Stefanie Schneider of Edgewater, who pleaded guilty in December to theft of at least $100,000.
Club officials had someone review the organization's financial records, and the investigation uncovered more than $199,000 in charges that appeared to be unrelated to swim club affairs in 2015 and 2016, according to the report.
