Former PG County Mayor Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges
Patrick Wojahn will likely serve 30 years in prison as part of a plea deal with county prosecutors, a report said.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A former College Park mayor pleaded guilty to dozens of child pornography charges Wednesday as part of a plea deal that includes a 30-year prison sentence, according to a WTOP report.
Patrick Wojahn, 47, pleaded guilty in Prince George's County to 140 counts of possessing with the intent to distribute child pornography, WTOP reported. Wojahn's plea agreement includes a sentence of 150 years in prison with 120 years suspended, meaning he will serve 30 years in prison.
Wojahn's sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 20, according to WTOP.

Wojahn was indicted in March, a month after the Prince George's County Police Department received notification from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that suspected child pornography was distributed by someone in the county.

PGPD detectives served a search warrant at Wojahn's College Park home on Feb. 28. Investigators recovered multiple cell phones, a storage device, a tablet and a computer.
Wojahn was arrested and initially was charged with 40 counts of possession of child exploitative material and 16 counts of distribution of child exploitative material. He was indicted on 40 counts of possession of child exploitative material and 4o counts of distribution of child exploitative material.
Wojahn resigned shortly before he was arrested. He had been mayor of College Park since 2015 and served on the council since 2007.
A special election was held in May to elect a new mayor, reports said.
