Fort Washington Man Accused of Sexual Contact with Girl at DC High School Where He Worked

Jimmy Augustin was reportedly fired from Archbishop Carroll High School after the allegations came to light.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police have arrested a Prince George's County man who was formerly an employee at a private Catholic high school in Northeast after they say he touched a female student there inappropriately.

The Metropolitan Police Department arrested 33-year-old Jimmy Augustin of Fort Washington, Md. Numerous reports indicate that he was a former athletic trainer at Archbishop Carroll High School, and that he inappropriately touched and kiss a girl at the school.

Police say that the offense happened in the 4300 block of Harewood Road NE -- the location of the school -- between September and October.

Augustin faces a charge of misdemeanor sexual abuse of a minor.

Police have asked anyone who has had "inappropriate encounters" with Augustin, or any other information about the case, to call 202-727-9099.

In a statement released to the press, the school said Augustin had passed a criminal background check and he was fired when credible allegations were made against him.

The Washington Post reports that sexual activities were discussed over text messages recovered from the student's phone.
