Free COVID-19 Test Kits To Be Handed Out Saturday At Bowie Senior Center Starting At 9 AM

More than 1,000 free COVID-19 test kits will be handed out to residents Saturday at the Bowie Senior Center starting at 9 a.m.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — On Saturday, Bowie residents can pick up their free COVID-19 home test kit starting at 9 a.m. at the Bowie Senior Center located at 14900 Health Center Drive. Approximately 1,100 test kit boxes will be available for distribution. Each household is eligible to receive one test box containing 2 test kits at this drive-thru event and proof of residency will be required.

City officials emphasize that residents should remain in their vehicles and wear masks while interacting with city staff. The senior center will be closed to the public Saturday.

At the city's first COVID-19 home test kit distribution event, approximately 300 kits were handed out during the first hour and lines were long, according to Una Cooper, spokesperson for the city of Bowie.
