Gunshot Victim Crashes Into School Bus, Murder Charge Filed For Prince George's County Man
A Prince George's County grand jury indicted a man in connection to a fatal crash which caused the victim to collide with a school bus.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A Prince George's County grand jury indicted a man for murder Tuesday in connection to a fatal crash which caused the victim to collide with a county school bus in Temple Hills this May.
Bernard Gibson III, 24, of Temple Hills is charged in the death of Tavon Todd, 24, of Southwest Washington. Police said Gibson shot Todd outside a business in the 6400 block of Allentown Rd. After the shooting, Todd continued to drive and eventually crashed into a school bus.
Investigation revealed that on the evening of May 18, Gibson shot at Todd's car as the car fled the parking lot in the 6300 block of Allentown Rd. Gibson then got into his car and began to chase after Todd, police said.

Todd crashed into a school bus not far from the shooting scene in the 5400 block of Temple Hills Rd. Todd was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. There were no students on the bus.
Gibson was arrested on June 2 and initially charged with attempted murder. On July 19th, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the victim’s manner of death as a homicide and the cause of death as multiple injuries related to the car crash.

Gibson is being held on a no-bond status.
