Gunshot Victim Dumped at Hospital ER By Friends: Police
Police are asking the public to share information about a shooting Tuesday at the Huntington Community Center in Bowie.

Authorities are asking for help identifying people who dumped their friend – who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds -- at an area hospital emergency room and fled.
Maryland-National Capital Park Police detectives are investigating Tuesday afternoon’s shooting of a 22-year-old man on the grounds of the Huntington Community Center in Bowie. Police have not released the victim’s name.
The wounded man was taken to Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham by unknown associates or friends who left the emergency room before police arrived, according to a news release.

Park Police and Bowie Police officers were called to the community center about 5:45 p.m. on reports of possible gunshot sounds. Officers found the crime scene at the center and later located the seriously wounded victim at the hospital.
Authorities say the victim remains in serious condition.

The Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
