Husband Fatally Stabs Wife In Prince George's: Police

A husband stabbed and killed his wife during an argument in Prince George's, police said. Officers noted that they charged him with murder.

COLMAR MANOR, MD β€” Police said a husband stabbed and killed his wife during a July 18 argument in Colmar Manor. Officers identified the victim as 50-year-old Florentina Maldonado.

Authorities named 56-year-old Luis Novoa as the suspect. Officials indicated that Novoa confessed to the crime and now faces charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and related offenses. Novoa is held without bond at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections, an incident report informed.

Police explained that they found Maldonado with multiple stab wounds around 10:55 a.m. at the family’s home in the 4000 block of Lawrence Street. Maldonado died soon after at an unnamed hospital, the write-up detailed.

The Prince George's County Police Department investigates all homicides in the Town of Colmar Manor.
