Incorrect Sample Ballot Mailed To An Estimated 10K Prince George's Voters

Approximately 10,000 eligible voters received incorrect sample ballots from the Prince George's County Board of Elections.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George’s County Board of Elections has mailed out thousands of incorrect versions of the sample ballots for Maryland’s primary election July 19. According to the board of elections, it was notified of the error by voters and has determined that approximately 10,000 registered voters out of more than 500,000 voters eligible to participate in the 2022 primary election could be affected by the error.

"Staff is working diligently to get the sample ballots reprinted and will mail them to those who were impacted. Ensuring that voters receive the most updated and correct information is our top priority and again, we are working very hard to resolve the issue. Please note that the mail-in ballots, early voting or Election Day ballots are accurate," the board stated in a notice on its website.
