K9 Ollie Sprints Through 2026 Hero Dogs 5K9

GREENBELT, MD — From chasing down perps to greeting neighborhood kids, K9 Ollie happens to be a beloved member of the Greenbelt Police Department.

This past weekend, K9 Ollie participated in the 2026 Hero Dogs 5K9 at the historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Hosted by Hero Dogs, Inc., the event brought together runners, walkers and K9 supporters to honor service dogs. According to the Greenbelt Police Department, the event also "support(s) an incredible mission that helps improve the lives of our nation’s heroes through highly trained assistance dogs."

The police department shared that K9 Ollie had a "great time" representing the Greenbelt Police Department alongside other impressive participants - both tail-waggers and dog lovers.
