Twylla was abandoned in a garage. Cali had a rough start to her life. The Prince George's SPCA wants to find loving homes for both kitties.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables. Click on their names for more information.

Favorite Napping Spot: Any place warm, e.g. enveloped in blankets, or your lap.

How I Came To The SPCA: My babies and I were abandoned in a garage when our people moved away. Some good people called the PGSPCA and we were saved!

Dream Family: A patient family who understands I am still quite young and need to be played with and cared for.

Cali

Personality: Cali has had a very difficult life so far and is very skittish, but she is very loving as well. She wants to be petted as much as possible but gets very upset if you try to pick her up. She doesn’t eat a lot and is very thin, but we have been working on getting her to eat more. Cali likes to run around and is very playful. Cali is a picky eater and has only shown minor interest in eating wet food so far.

Favorite Toy: She is most likely to play with a shoestring, but she also loves to play with a ball and feathers toy. She’ll toss it around and chase it all by herself sometimes.

Favorite Napping Spot: She will usually nap under the bed or someplace dark and cool.

How I Came To The SPCA: Cali was brought to us by a homeowner who tried to rescue her when she was a kitten but unfortunately, she had dogs and kept little Cali in a cage for most of her life. This is why she is so skittish and dislikes dogs. She needs lots of love and kindness.

Dream Family: Cali would do best with a family of adults or a single adult who is willing to be patient with her and take the time to let her find her way. She wants very much to be loved and petted. She does not trust easily and will probably need a lot of time to adjust. Are you the one for Cali?

The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted.
