Lack Of Staff Closes Prince George's County Schools On March 8
BREAKING: So many staffers are requesting leave for "A Day Without a Woman" that schools in the county are opting to shut down for the day.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — All public schools in Prince George's County will be closed on Wednesday because of the large number of staff who have requested leave as part of the "A Day Without a Woman" nationwide demonstration.
Prince George's County Public Schools announced in a statement that a "high number" of school-based and support staff had requested leave on Wednesday, and officials are concerned that it would "compromise our ability to transport students and provide safe, productive learning environments" for students.
"As a result, schools will be closed Wednesday, March 8 for students," the statement reads. "We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Please note that our leave requests significantly increased today, leading to this decision."
