Landover Man Dies, Hit By Car on Street
A Landover man and a toddler were hit by a car Sunday; police say they were not in a crosswalk. The man died Monday from his injuries.

Landover, MD — A Landover man has died from injuries he suffered when he and a toddler were crossing a street and hit by a car, authorities say.
Prince George's County Police say the victim is Kevin James Rice, 25, of East Chesapeake Street in Landover.
Rice was fatally injured about 10:40 p.m. Sunday in the 7000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway; he died at an area hospital on Monday, police said.

Investigators say a car was westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway when it struck Rice and a toddler as they were crossing the road. Police say it appears Rice and the child were not in a crosswalk.
The toddler’s injuries do not appear life-threatening, police say.

The driver of the car remained on the scene.
