Lebron James' New Game Show is Coming to PG County

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Want to be on NBC's "The Wall," a new game show executive produced by NBA superstar Lebron James? The show is having a casting call this week for teams of two soon in Clinton and Upper Marlboro.

The show, which will be hosted by Talking Dead personality Chris Hardwick, will feature two-person teams vying for cash prizes by answering trivia questions -- and the amount of money they win will be dependent on a bouncing ball that descends down a wall Plinko-style.

Casting calls will be held Friday, Sept. 2 at Mt. Ennon Baptist Church at 9832 Piscataway Road in Clinton and on Saturday, Sept. 3 at First Baptist Church of Glendarden at 600 Watkins Park Drive in Upper Marlboro.

"'The Wall' will give dynamic duos (siblings, spouses, cousins, parent/child, best friends, business partners, etc.) the opportunity to win lots of money," according to a statement. "No physical ability/agility is necessary. Or if you know someone who fits the bill and deserves a chance to win big, you can nominate them."

NBC will be visiting a number of locations across the nation for casting calls.

"Executive Producer LeBron James presents a challenge infused with the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, where regular people can achieve their dreams with one bounce of the ball. Hosted by comedian Chris Hardwick and set in a large, glossy arena centering on the colossal 40-foot wall, the gameplay involves quick thinking, shrewd strategy and a little luck. Played by contestant pairs, this is an unpredictable journey with giant swings of fortune and millions of dollars passing through the contestants' hands throughout the hour."
