“This year, in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, we’ve curated a selection of films that highlight the American spirit,” said Deborah Topcik, senior director of marketing at National Harbor. “The lineup includes beloved classics like “Rocky,” “Remember the Titans” and “Forrest Gump,” as well as new releases such as “Freakier Friday” and “Michael” later in the season.”
Movies on the Potomac has become a tradition for many couples, groups and families. This year, several screenings will also feature themed pre-movie entertainment.

“For select films, we’re adding interactive experiences that tie into the movie,” Topcik said. “For example, before “Miracle,” the M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County will host hockey drills with instructors from Tucker Road Ice Rink. Additionally, ahead of “October Sky” on July 12, the National Association of Rocketry Model Rocket Club will showcase model rockets.”
Movie times and dates may be changed or cancelled due to weather. National Harbor will announce any updates via Facebook or Instagram.
