Team Ride to Remember invites community to join charity ride

Team Ride to Remember will launch its inaugural charity biking event on Sunday, October 16 to raise awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter.
Ride to Remember cyclists are participating in the Lifeline100 ride at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Maryland. This a unique organized ride experience for cyclists of all levels raises funds for local nonprofits. Team Ride to Remember is directing its fundraising to the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants have their choice of a 15, 30, 65 (metric century), or 100 (century) mile ride on a fully-supported course that winds throughout scenic Anne Arundel County. The first ride will begin at 7:00am.
“Let’s face it, Alzheimer’s disease has become as much a health concern in America today as cancer. Everyone knows someone who is affected by it,” said Rob Seidel, Ride to Remember team chair. “Challenge yourself to go the distance and join us in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!”

“More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and over 15 million family members and friends are providing their unpaid care,” said Chris Broullire, president of the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter. “Third-party fundraisers like Ride to Remember help to raise much-needed awareness and funds that help us to provide free programs and services to those in our community who are facing the daily challenges of this disease and fund critical research. We are extremely grateful to Rob Seidel and the Ride to Remember team for their support and for sharing our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.”
