UPDATE: Owner Claims Lost Bowie Dog
A female Malti-Poo mixed dog was found wandering the streets Sunday. Her owner claimed her Tuesday morning.

BOWIE, MD — A lost dog wandering the streets of Bowie is on her way home. This dog's owner has contacted Bowie Animal Control Tuesday morning and will be picking up her dog whose name is "Mylee."

Bowie animal control officers picked up the female dog Sunday after she was found by a resident on the corner of West Forest Drive and Lakeford Lane.

The dog is described as a Malti Poo, spayed, 8-10 years old, all white, with no collar or identification.
On its Facebook page, the animal control office says the dog has a microchip implanted by the former Critters pet store in 2007, but the store is no longer in business at Hilltop Plaza. The microchip was not activated.
Several residents and local veterinarians were unable to identify the dog or her owner.
The dog taken to the holding area at Bowie City Hall, 15901 Excalibur Road. Contact animal control officer Morreale at 301-440-6615 or 301-809-3002, with any information concerning this dog.
