Major PG County Road Shut Down For Hours: Police
A car struck a pole Thursday morning, police say.

BRANDYWINE, MD -- Brandywine Road was shut down in both directions for hours on Thursday morning following a single-vehicle crash, police say.
The road was closed after the vehicle struck a pole, according to a tweet shortly before 6 a.m. by the Prince George's County Police Department.
"The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries," police said. "Major damage to the pole. Expect long delays."

Police reported at 9:30 a.m. that the road had reopened.
