SPRINGDALE, MD — Police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting in Springdale back in 2015.

Police arrested 23-year-old Afolbi Ijaoba of Springdale in connection with a Nov. 10 incident where police came upon a crashed car in the 3700 block of Ladova Way that was unoccupied, later learning that the driver -- 59-year-old Bernard Parker of Springdale -- had already been taken to the hospital, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Parker later died of his injuries.

"Investigators quickly determined Parker had been shot inside of his car prior to the crash," the report states. "Detectives believe the suspect shot the victim during a robbery attempt."
