Man Arrested In Double Homicide In District Heights: Police
Karon Moore, 20, has been charged as a suspect in connection with a double homicide in District Heights July 6, police said.
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — A 20-year-old Forestville, Maryland man has been charged as a suspect in connection with a double homicide in District Heights July 6, Prince George's County Police announced Wednesday.
Karon Moore is charged with first and second degree murder and is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status, police said.
At about 12:55 a.m. July 6, officers responded to a call for sounds of gunshots in the 6600 block of Atwood St. They found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Both men — Phillip Michael, 34 of Southeast Washington, and Kenneth Edmonds, 31, of District Heights — were pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
The preliminary investigation reveals Moore and the victims were part of a larger group that had been in an argument prior to the shootings, police said. Moore and the victims were acquaintances.
