Man Eats 255 Peeps in New World Record at National Harbor
Matt Stonie of California won the National Harbor World Peeps Eating Championship for the second year in a row this past weekend.

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — Get ready to be sick to your stomach: a man plowed through 255 Peeps in just 5 minutes for a $1,750 cash prize at National Harbor on Saturday.
Matt Stonie, 24, of San Jose, Calif., won the World Peeps Eating Championship on April 8 here for the second year in a row. The 130-pound man shattered his previous record of 200 Peeps in the process, beating out 12 other competitors.
Stonie is a regular on the competitive eating circuit. He once downed 182 strips of bacon in 5 minutes in Daytona, Fla., 10 pounds of spaghetti and red sauce in 8 minutes in Las Vegas, and 34 Pepperoni Rolls in 10 minutes in West Virginia.

Stonie holds at least 14 competitive eating world records. He was quite proud of Saturday's accomplishment, posting a picture on Twitter of himself lifting the trophy high.
