Man Faces Charges In Fatal Shooting Of Acquaintance: Prince George's Police
A District Heights man faces charges in the fatal shooting of another District Heights man that happened in August, according to police.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 34-year-old District Heights man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in Forestville in August.
On Aug. 13 around 1:35 a.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of Donnell Drive for a report of a shooting. Tyrone Thomas, 37, of District Heights was found outside with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Two additional adult males also were shot. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Devonte Taylor, 34, of District Heights has been charged with first-degree and second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and second-degree murder, and related charges. According to police, the suspect and the victims knew each other.
