Man Fatally Stabs Ex-Girlfriend In Suitland, Later Captured In Virginia: Police

A 25-year-old man who police say fatally stabbed his ex-girlfriend escaped to Virginia where police later captured him.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection to the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend.

On Oct. 23 around 11:50 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to an apartment in the 3300 block of Curtis Drive in Suitland. When they arrived, police officers found 33-year-old Diamond Abney of Suitland unresponsive with stab wounds. She died at a hospital a short time later, according to police.

After stabbing the victim, 25-year-old Eric Anthony King fled the scene. With the assistance of the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia, King was located and taken into custody without incident at a motel in Dumfries, Virginia, police reported.

King has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
