Man Found Fatally Shot, Police Search For Suspect

Prince George's Police is searching for the suspect they say fatally shot a 48-year-old Capitol Heights man in Landover.

LANDOVER, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday night in Landover.

Prince George's police officers were called to the 2400 block of Brightseat Road around 6:40 p.m. for a report of a shooting. They found 48-year-old Curtis Thornton Jr., of Capitol Heights with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the police department reported.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
