Man Found Guilty In 2019 Fatal Stabbing At Prince George's Popeyes

A guilty verdict has been handed down to a man police say stabbed a 27-year-old at the Popeyes in Oxon Hill in 2019.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Prince George’s County jury has found 32-year-old Ricoh McClain guilty of second-degree murder for a stabbing that occurred at a Popeyes in Oxon Hill Nov. 4, 2019. McClain will be sentenced July 25.

According to police, McClain stabbed Kevin Davis, 27, at the Popeyes located on Livingston Road after arguing inside the restaurant.

"This is a tragic incident in which a young man lost his life over a simple argument. I am pleased that the jury rendered this guilty verdict. My office is committed to holding those accountable who commit violent, heinous crimes such as murder in Prince George’s County,” said State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy. “I hope that the family and loved ones of Mr. Davis find some comfort in this outcome."
